Maria Papakosta: A wonderful leader of the twenty-first century

In an exclusive interview with Dr. Insight successMaria focuses on the company’s journey, current industry situation and its vision for the future.
Below are excerpts from the interview:
Maria, please let our audience know about you and your professional journey as well as your business endeavors. Are you motivated to take action in the field of attendance and inspired leadership coaching?
My professional journey began in the service sector marketing, where I worked for top international companies and played senior management roles. Each of the companies I have worked for has taught me something different and helped me evolve and become the person I am today.
But from the beginning of my career, my vision was to create something of my own. I wanted to feel the thrill of starting something from scratch and the pain of making it work.
As a result, I started my first business in the event management sector in 2006 and co-founded MSC Marketing Bureau in 2019. Since the beginning of my career, I have been working with professional speakers, writers and mentors.
Initially, I invited them to our company conference as a client, later as a speaker agent (my first company represented one of the top speaker bureaus in more than 20 countries), and finally as a speaker manager and ‘attendance and inspired leadership trainer’.
I think one thing has flowed into another in a very normal flow.
Working with all these wonderful thought leaders and dynamic personalities, I realized that although they had extraordinary knowledge, unique insights and originality of thought, in most cases, they could not communicate and influence these ideas effectively.
This realization led me to study and research the areas of attendance and inspired leadership. How can anyone find his unique voice? What does it take to help people stand out from the crowd and make an impact while maintaining their integrity, values, and integrity? What makes some people more inspiring than others? There were some questions that turned into my passion and changed my career.
Please tell us about MSC Marketing Bureau and why you started it.
As soon as I realized that my interest was to help others stand out, my mind began to focus on opportunities to work with people who needed such help.
You will be amazed at what clarity of purpose can do in your life. If you know what you want, then you seem to be programming and re-programming yourself to achieve that goal.
You start asking the right questions, like “What do I have to do to get from here to there?” And your field of vision expands to help you find more opportunities. So, I first started working with a few professional speakers and senior executives in small steps.
My business partners soon realized that helping others stand out, not just for their self-improvement. These people also needed practical tools, such as social media presence, website development and promotion, to name a few.
This leads to the creation of the MSC Marketing Bureau, where our goal is to help professionals stand out and nurture their authentic leadership and build impact by building their brand voice.
We help our clients achieve their goals by offering a complete array of services and tools they need on their journey.

In addition to our core philosophy, I truly believe that it is a level of skill that has helped us to differentiate and enhance in such a short period of time.

Technology has transformed marketing and advertising in many ways. Marketing campaigns are more personalized and immersive for people, and ecosystems more integrated and targeted for marketers, to name a few.
But it’s not just the interaction between brands and people that is being transformed. Adoption of new technologies is changing the infrastructure of companies as a whole, which is having an integrated effect on consumers. It’s no longer about marketing or advertising.
The future will be how each division becomes a well-oiled cog that works seamlessly and about the cogs of other well-oiled companies to provide an overall customer experience. This transformation will break the silos and give way to more innovation and creativity, pro-active and responsive strategies and even a new design in working processes.
Enlighten us on how the MSC Marketing Bureau has impacted the brand awareness space.
Everything the brand believes. I firmly believe that loyalty can be bought, but faith can only be created. While brand awareness helps build brand trust, it is not enough on its own.
Therefore, our approach to communicating with our brand is a bit different than usual. From the beginning our focus has been on building long term relationships with our clients.
Our number one priority is to be their trusted advisor. Once this is achieved, these clients become your company’s ambassadors and develop your brand awareness for you.
The funny thing here is that customers will always trust other customers more than the service provider. So, for anyone trying to build or increase their brand awareness, I would strongly advise them to focus on their clients first.
This approach has led us to numerous accolades, such as being ranked 7th in the World’s Best Brand Development Program for 2021 by Global Guru.
What would be your advice for emerging entrepreneurs who want to become entrepreneurs in the marketing and advertising industry?
My advice would be to get to know themselves and have a clear vision – know their motives. Self-awareness is important, and very few people pay attention to discovering who they really are. Most overestimate or underestimate themselves.
But if you really know your strengths (and your team), then and only then can you capitalize on them. Similarly, if you are honest about your weaknesses (and your team’s), you can turn them into development opportunities.
Where do you want to be in the long run and how do you plan to scale your company in the future?
In the long run, we want to further develop our people and grow as a team to design more innovative solutions for our clients.
Personally, I would like to give some of my time to empower others, especially those who do not have access to or access to education and development programs and as a result (among other factors), face a major obstacle to their economic development, inequality, and of course their well-being. .
