How the B’vri lama is making a positive difference in underdeveloped communities

B’Ivry Lama is a high-profile attorney and civil rights lawyer who practices outside Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.

Specializing in a wide range of areas, including personal injury, criminal defense, and property damage, LaMarr prides itself on helping individuals navigate the legal landscape.

After graduating from Howard University, Lamar began his career as a legal intern at the Davis Bozeman Law Firm in Atlanta, Georgia. As an active member of her local community, she has been instrumental in the fight for equality. Currently serving as vice president of the National Bar Association’s Police Misconduct Task Force, Lamar is helping to expose police brutality.

Having been involved in a number of high-stakes cases, he used his extensive legal experience to represent the underdeveloped community. He often blamed his willingness to deal with controversial cases for his spiritual basis. Leaning on prayer and patience before taking any case, he fights for the rights of all his clients.

What do you currently do in your company?

As head of the firm, I am responsible for day-to-day business transactions. This includes everything from case management to staff management. If we ever have a situation where the media is involved, I will take note. I am available to advise clients as well as my team. Anything under the daily chores of the office, I am a part of it.

What was the inspiration behind your business?

I have always wanted to help the underprivileged. Many lawyers refrain from handling more complex cases. They may want to stay away from anything that might be considered controversial. As a result, many people do not get the representation they deserve. For change to take effect, there must be someone willing to get involved in difficult problems. We need to pay attention to the injustices that many people face. It was a call to me. I couldn’t sit next to him and let my local community fall apart. I enjoy a challenge and are very tactful. It is very important to be there, to be fully employed and to face these problems.

What defines the way you do business?

Ethics is a part of how I do business. It’s about leadership with my heart. Since I’m looking at all possible cases, I’m looking for those who are pulling at me. My spirituality is important to me, so I will often seek God’s guidance and wisdom before engaging in any subject. Do you have a strong sense of need to move in this direction? Can I help this cause? After all, it’s also important to consider my skill set for the problem. If I like to move forward, it needs to be done in a way that will add value. I am fine with the way I do business because what I do can have a lasting effect on others.

What can you share in being productive?

First and foremost, write down your goals. Create a vision board and include both short-term and long-term objectives. Then, come up with a mechanism to achieve those goals. A lot of people know where they want to end up but don’t take the time to plan exactly how they will get there. There is a possibility of getting lost somewhere in between.

I do this with every case that we work with. We aim to create actionable and realistic goals. Being productive means holding yourself accountable for meeting those goals. Opportunity to learn every moment. Be strict with yourself enough that you will not be satisfied until you have accomplished what you set out to do.

Say a long-term goal in your career.

My long-term goal is to look back on my career when I retire with the knowledge that I have made a difference. I think it’s important to leave this world knowing that you have made a difference, small or large. We have to leave the world a little better than what we have inherited. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose. It may be that we are paying too much attention to a situation. It can be negligence or behavior that is unconstitutional. Does our contribution make the world a better place? “” Have we reduced the number of negligent parties involved in this activity?

What is the most valuable lesson you have learned through your career?

Stand up for what you believe Don’t shy away from controversy so that you don’t drop a few feathers You do not need to maintain stability. If you see something that your faith system forces you to do, do it. Don’t worry about public opinion, it doesn’t make you changeable. Those who are not afraid to stand on their principles will change this world.

What advice would you give to others who are aspiring to be successful in your case?

The first step in this field is to meet God. Understand what your specific calling is. We all have different purposes in this world. In some ways, we may have similarities, but there are some differences that we must personally explore for ourselves. Once you know, you will learn which way to go. When I look back on my career, I am proud that I have been able to tackle issues ranging from the police department to the school system, from discrimination to medical negligence. I have worked in personal injury cases and have been involved in dealing with problems in our criminal justice system. Anyone who wants to advance professionally must first understand their guiding principles.

What are some of your favorite things outside of work?

I enjoy community service. I like to travel and spend time with family and friends. I like a lot of different law-related shows. I watch a lot of shows on Netflix and watch movies related to the legal profession. Exercise and shopping are some of the things I like to do in my spare time.

How would your colleagues describe you?

I will say that my colleagues will describe me as very determined. They will also describe me as enthusiastic and competitive. Honestly, I love that I would be described that way. The person who leads honestly and is known as a go-getter is a compliment.

How do you balance a difficult work-life?

I have spent a lot of time with God and my spirituality is at the core of who I am. That way I can stay rooted and have a clear focus on the challenges I face. It is important to find time for meditation. Let your mind think about what the problems are and how to find a solution. I also enjoy exercising and shopping in my spare time. I would recommend having an escape. For me, it’s travel. I love seeing new places and expressing myself with new cultures. All of this provides a great balance that can be a very challenging career.

What is the part of technology that helps you the most in your daily routine?

My calendar has always been one of the most important tools. It’s even more versatile now that it’s included in my phone, which is always with me. Every morning, I put together a list of action items for the day and work to complete them. This is a great way to keep track of the items you have and keep up the good content. It has been helpful for me to concentrate on making sure that the deadlines have been met and that I am achieving the goals I set for myself.

What is the hardest obstacle you have overcome?

Your mind can be the most challenging part of your own. We always have to reason why we are unable to get a definite result. It is essential to have control and not allow the past to affect our future. You want to stay current. Train your mind that way. The most successful people are those who believe that they can achieve anything. I want to make my goals a reality, something that I constantly strive for.

Who has been a role model for you and why?

Attorney Willie Gary has probably had the strongest impact on my career. He is an attorney and has worked to become one of the most respected attorneys in history. He is a person who believes in himself. She also has a real passion for her clients and an innate ability to be a trendsetter. He shared many stories where there seemed to be no way, but he found a way to make things work. This kind of mentality is essential for success in this career. He also leads with spirituality, much like me. These are the keys to a successful lawyer, especially as a minority in this case. I think you need that special adjustment. He is very influential in my career and one I want to see.

What is one piece of advice that you have never forgotten?

That would probably go back to my biblical upbringing. I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me. This is something I will always remember in all areas of my life. It is a reminder that I am empowered. I can make a difference, and I can make a difference. My mother always told me to keep God at the center and I think this is the best advice I’ve ever received.
